Questions, answered
What paint brands do you use?
Boysen, Davies or Dulux at your preferred grade, or a specialty line such as low-odour, anti-mould or elastomeric paint when the job needs it. You can also supply the paint yourself.
Do you protect furniture?
Yes. Light furniture is moved out, heavier pieces are covered with drop cloths, and floors, switches and trim are masked. The room is left swept each day.
Are touch-ups covered?
Yes. Minor touch-ups on the painter's own work within the 1-month warranty are handled at no extra labour charge. Damage from leaks or other trades later is a separate job.
How long does paint take to dry?
Water-based paint is usually dry to the touch in 1 to 2 hours and ready for a second coat in about 4 to 6 hours, depending on humidity. Your painter confirms timing on the day.
Are your painters vetted?
Yes. Every painter shows a valid NBI clearance and a government ID and talks with our team before their first job. Customers rate the work after every booking, and anyone whose standards slip is removed from the network.
How much will the job cost?
Your painter looks at the job and confirms the final price on-site before any work starts. You pay them directly in cash or GCash once the work is done. KuyaYos takes no commission. Paint and supplies are quoted separately from the labour, and you pay supplier price for what is used. If the job turns out bigger once work starts, it pauses until you approve the new price.
What is the ₱525 service guarantee?
It is the flat fee you pay KuyaYos by GCash or bank transfer when you book. It covers vetting, matching, a 1-month warranty on the painter's work and a back job if the same problem returns. It is not deducted from the price of the work, and it is refunded if we cannot find a tradesperson or you cancel before one is assigned. To use the warranty, message us with your booking reference.
Is there an ocular fee?
Only if no work is done. If the painter inspects the job and you decide not to go ahead, you pay them ₱700 for the ocular. If you go ahead, the ₱700 is deducted from the labor. KuyaYos charges no inspection fee of its own.
Which areas do you cover?
All of Metro Manila. Our office is in Quezon City, where our network is largest, and we also send painters to Manila, Makati, Pasig, Taguig, Mandaluyong, Marikina, Caloocan, Parañaque and the rest of the metro. Book from anywhere in Metro Manila and we confirm we can send a painter. If we cannot, your ₱525 is refunded.
