Cancellation & Payment Policy
How payment works on KuyaYos, what happens when you or your tradesperson needs to cancel, and how we handle disputes. Read alongside our Terms & Conditions and FAQ.
Effective date: 23 May 2026. Last updated: 23 May 2026.
How payment works
When you book through KuyaYos, a ₱500 visitation fee is charged upfront. This secures your booking and pays for your tradesperson's arrival and assessment.
Payment methods
You can pay via GCash or direct bank transfer. Payment instructions are sent with your booking confirmation.
Pricing
Pricing ranges for each service category are published on our pricing page. When your tradesperson arrives, they assess the job and confirm the final price with you on-site, within the published range for your service type.
The ₱500 visitation fee is credited toward your final bill.
- For jobs above ₱500, you pay the remaining balance to KuyaYos before work begins.
- For jobs at or below ₱500, the visitation fee is the total charge.
Free cancellation
You can cancel your booking up to 2 hours before your scheduled appointment for a full refund of the visitation fee.
Late cancellation
If you cancel within 2 hours of your scheduled appointment, or after the tradesperson has been dispatched, the ₱500 visitation fee is non-refundable. This pays your tradesperson for their time and travel.
Once the tradesperson arrives
The visitation fee is consumed when your tradesperson arrives on-site. This applies whether the job proceeds, whether you decide not to continue, or whether the tradesperson determines the job cannot be safely completed.
If you decline the final quote
If the final price quoted on-site is acceptable to you, you pay the remaining balance and the work proceeds. If you decline to proceed at the quoted price, the visitation fee is consumed and the booking ends. Your tradesperson is paid for their assessment.
If your tradesperson cancels or cannot make it
We will dispatch a backup tradesperson at no additional cost to you. If a backup is unavailable, you can choose to reschedule or receive a full refund of the visitation fee.
Dangerous conditions
If your tradesperson finds the work site unsafe, they may decline to proceed. This includes extreme weather, structural hazards, exposed live wiring in water, or conditions outside their professional competence. You will be offered the option to reschedule with a different tradesperson or receive a full refund of the visitation fee.
Force majeure
In the event of typhoons (PAGASA signal 2 or above), earthquakes, government-mandated lockdowns, or similar circumstances beyond either party's control, all cancellation fees are waived and any payments are refunded.
Refunds
Refunds are processed within 3 business days to your original payment method.
Disputes
If you believe a charge was applied unfairly or the work did not meet our standards, reach out to us directly via Messenger or Viber. We review every dispute case by case and respond within 48 hours.
